should i go to college?, my parents have offered to pay my way as long as i stay in class and support myself, i have no real direction as of now and im rapidly approaching the end of highschool everyone ive asked so far says yes but i know 4chan holds the true answer to my question

There are many people who get fairly useless degrees, they often tend to, like you, enter college without any plans or direction.

I hesitate to say you should do it just because you can.
You should develop a plan first and make sure you'll use the platform in a way that is worth the time and other investments.
Otherwise you'd likely be better off following another path.

If you have a good intelligence you'll have fun and likely be successful in the stem stuff. If you aren't very bright or don't feel like doing research or pretty office work type stuff (gone are the days of physical experimentation in engineering), learn something more focused like nursing or specific engineering like petroleum engineering, chemical engineering, or pharmaceuticals. If you want to have a more physical life and maybe have a good chance of starting a business, learn a trade, or go into the military.
