Started reading the Bible today. Just got through Genesis. All I can say is... What the fuck is up with Jacob aka "Israel"?

I can't even count the amount of stories of the main characters constantly jewing each other. I kept reading thinking oh man this guy is fucked for doing all these evil shit..... Nope... Nothing.. Literally steals the blessing and Isaac basically says lol oh well and he becomes the chosen one.... I go to go Google thinking surely people must be talking a lot of shit about this Jacob guy, all I get is Jewish websites explaining why he was right to jew everyone out of everything. Do jews really revere this guy?
