They do not have a physical form unless they find a vessel - willing humans, unwilling but sinful humans ("fits of rage"), animals...even dummys and dolls can work. My theory is that a robot with onboard AI computer would be their 'ideal' vessel because they can manipulate electrical fields.
When I say 'hear' them, I do not mean voices. They are frequencies - like a high pitched ringing. For example, some people can hear when an old CRT TV is on because it has a high pitched sound it puts out. Varying frequencies but I hear them when they are nearby.
Visually, they are shadows that do not stop darkening. A normal shadow, you look at and you can see that although the area is darker, it is a constant darkness. But a demon looks like a shadow that just continues to get darker - like your eyes can't adjust to the darkness of it, it only gets darker. They move around. They feel cold if you touch one (and will make your hairs stand on end)
Demons prefer winter because of the darkness of it. They can manipulate electricity (make lights flicker, turn on and off things). When I first became Christian I was under attack every day - I'd see them move under lightbulbs and EXPLODE them just to freak me out.
If they are more powerful, they can cause physical noises. Those 'structural creaks' you hear isn't the building settling.. Can be footsteps or even pounding if they are powerful and well-fed off negative energy.
If a room is mysteriously colder, darker and noisier than it should be, chances are they are there.
They absolutely HATE Jesus. He is the 'one neat trick' to regain control of your life from them. Believers can tell them to leave in His name (His authority) and they must, but they are like lawyers and will do every Jewish trick in the book to return.
