I once heard or read somewhere on the internet that Chinese immigrants are often set up with a firm when they get to the states that helps them get on their feet buy teaching them how to run Chinese food restaurants and giving them a loan to open it up and then sending them out to various locations around the US. That's the reason that there are Chinese restaurants in even the most bumfuck American towns, because this firm spreads them out evenly. In exchange the firm gets a cut of their profits. Apparently a lot of Chinese restaurants have the logo of the firm on their signs or in their window.

I heard that a while back but when I try searching for anything related to it I can't find anything. Does anyone else know what I'm talking about or has heard of this?
