if he ends up being more of a risk/detriment than a help then we can tell him that and kick him from the party
it'd be one thing if the player didn't get that but it's not like what he's done is out of line with his character so we have no reason to be mad as players and it's not like he's unaware what he's doing is pissing off our characters so he has no reason to get mad if we decide he pushed us too far and boot him
i'd even argue it makes for very interesting roleplaying. 5 best buds exploring dungeons and killing bad guys for funsies isn't exactly groundbreaking territory after all
