>>8914344well you don't "lose" it but the pack is only redeemable once and the rewards aren't tradeable so if you want to wait until you can make a character on the server you're actually planning on playing long term you either don't get to have any labor to catch up with despite staring really late or you have to have all your preorder cosmetics stuck on a character you don't ever plan on playing
what they want to happen is for people to just stay on the less popular servers so that the player base is spread out more evenly but that's just not how it works because people want to commit to playing with their friends and getting onto servers where they know there will be good players so for 75% of people are just going to wait until they can make characters on the server they want
yeah. to be fair it's still a lot of playstyles and different implementations of those playstyles, but saying "225 unique classes" also includes stuff like combining bard, wizard, and beserker trees which isn't exactly a great idea
my favorite part though is that they do have class names for all 225 combinations though so people are really out here saying that they play a blood arrow or marrowblade
