Strange question. If I had to say anything it'd probably be my stubborn inability to properly contemplate ideas that are not my own. I'm clutching at staws here though, I never really felt like I had difficulty appreciating art, though I've also never thought about it before.

The degree of perceived effort.

If someone sits down and paints a circle I don't think it's even worth contemplating, same with a poem that just seems like someones passing thoughts.

Something like a 3D environment in a game or philosophy requires effort and mental strain so I can appreciate it more than bullshit freeverse poetry.

One thing i feel like most people struggle with is that they dont think about how things were made. Yes at first glance it might just be a solid color canvas or some extremely scuffed drawing but why is it scuffed? What went wrong? Maybe its some sort of criticism on society that sort of stuff
