the next step is to realize that something is better than nothing

but you know what? at least you did something.
at least you saw a world you thought you had no chance in and succeeded.
i used to think in a similar manner
"the world is fucked" i said to myself
"i'll just work at walmart until i die alone"
what changed my thinking i can't tell you, but my point is that it did.
we have a very short time on earth, and heaven isn't gauranteed, so make the most of it
if nothing else do it for yourself
know that you will be far happier living a life with risks (and their rewards) than a life with regrets
