I get what you mean. Maybe i look at it from different angle since i choose anime carefully and don't really watch that much.

I think this is the best option. Watching an anime because it's a good tv show is always better than watching an anime for the sake of watching an anime, at least for me. I still don't see myself picking up seasonal anime to follow anymore.
