I often have debates with myself internally or simultaneously hold two contradictory positions at once to try and figure out what I want to do/think. It's difficult for me to know whether there is something special about my psychological makeup that makes me able to do this or if it's something that anyone is capable of. I assume anyone is capable of it, but everyone's experience is different and I have no comprehension of what it's like to be someone else. Some people struggle to even think in words at all.
