What made /pol/ so good and popular in the past, even before the 2016 elections, was not because of politics, but because /pol/ was genuinely funny, just like the once popular /b/. Not everyone here likes black humour, obviously, but the edge of counter-culture and contrarianism was always a selling point of the most popular 4chan boards.
Nowadays, /pol/ is complete shit, and not worth anyone's time, it's nothing more than retards, newfags, and feds arguing against each other who's the most "based", loads of useless threads that serve no purpose other than to distract and hide important news and happenings (and said threads slowly seeping over to /bant/), and shitty "NO U" memes for every country to insult each other and for the outsiders to divide and conquer until /pol/ is nothing more than endless shitposting.
If you actually think /pol/ has any effect over this site, think again, 4chan has always been contrarian to mainstream culture, people here have been saying nigger and faggot since the beginning. The real problem with 4chan today is that no one has taken it seriously since around 2007-2014, and newfags and shitposters think this place is nothing more than their dumping ground for whatever unoriginal, unfunny garbage they thought up from their pea-brained minds.
