Reason for more incels, so far as I can tell:
1) Society is becoming increasingly fragmented. Loneliness cuts deeper than dating statistics do.
2) Online dating is hard for men, and tinder makes it even harder possibly because tinder is much more looks-based. It was always hard for guys, and then spaces like tinder just made it much harder.

And encourage more social spaces for people to get out and meet others for romance. In the meantime to alleviate loneliness we can encourage male-male friendship and buddies, familial bonds, religion, even owning a pet.
