You could have done anything. I think about this a lot. Everyday I'm posting on some board wasting what precious time I have left. 100s maybe even 1000s of days of my life are gone to just shitpostimg on some meme site. Imagine how many languages I could learned, instruments mastered, books read, topics studied. But instead here I am typing away to some guy I don't know while waiting for my next episode of anime to air. I didn't even live.

I actually learnt a lot from this site. To me the literary world is another circlejerk, same shit over and over. We've only just entered the world of technology so people have had thousands of years to write. Confucius was already writing before christ was born so ideas are recycled unknowingly.

Here I learn about different countries, their culture, even their places on the map. Back then I didn't even know where europe was or how close they were to the middle east. I learn some phrases from different languages and its all good. Even the memes and the funny moments are mostly natural and not some shit written by someone being paid by their kike masters. Dont regret any time spent here.

Sometimes I think about what this site gives me and I can't think of anything. It's not even fun, it's just brainless, tiring and even frustrating.

The memes are forced and horribly unfunny. The idea of a funny meme here is spamming the same thing over and over and over and over thousands of times.

As for the things you've "learned", you learned a skewed and messed up version of these topics. At best you've learned tremendously inefficiently and could have learned all that much quicker using other mediums or sources of information.

Not really, you get a simpler and edgier view here.

If you wanted to learn something say politics-wise, instead of posting "Redpill me on X, /pol/" you could actually read multiple books to get an understanding of a subject then come to a conclusion yourself once you understand numerous positions on a given topic.

In general, pol is a bit more right wing. Whether they're authoritarian or libertarian, its still right wing. It might be edgier but nothing wrong with that, leftist edginess is like aborting children cause its xir's choice shitlord.

Books work for things like maths, sciences, but for current day events and other esoteric things I turn to this place.

Why should I use /g/ to talk about technology when they'll just be contrarians and make fun of popular technology for the heck of it?

Why use /fit/ to learn about fitness when there's DOZENS of YouTube channels. Books. Blogs by amazing athletes/coaches?

I've always seen this place as a place I go to relax or help with my hobby. I go to /g/ for purchase advice and programming help, different OS types and whatnot. I go to /wg/ to help people and improve my photoshop skills and ocassionally provide some OC. I drop by /pol/ to have fun since there's flags and it gives me a lot of insight into what's happening in different countries and a bit of banter.

Me, im in engineering. I've had some talks with other engineers on here, I've spoken to some architects, these things dont need credentials. Sure, they may not be one or they could be, what does it matter? Its not like im talking to them on how to make 9/11 proof twin towers and am contracted by the government to do so.

Not to say that thinking on what might be in the future is bad.

Lastly, it's safe to assume vast majority of people are on here by choice. Whether or not it's a good choice, well, that's up in the air.
Many still learned a lot. Useful or otherwise. You'd be surprised how many books are written by these same, jobless hacks with no credentials.
