Listen, never suck up people to get friendly with them. Instead start with your very own interests.
If you can't do it from your home then get your very own tablet or phone.
You can do that.
I remember when I felt really bad during my teens. I had a passport and I had saved my weekly allowance to buy a there-and-back flight ticket to Stockholm plus some pocket money to stay there over a weekend. I met some nice people and a girl who was totally charmed by my endeavor (we were both 15 yo). Never met her again.
My parents still don't know about this thing.
