>>9078991Well since you put it that way I get it. I didn't know either and school never taught me lol
>>9079001Well there's a lot of ways and depends what you're looking for.
Homes need a loan from a bank and a good loan history.
Condominiums are pretty much the same only it's like buying an apartment outright.
Apartments are typically a walk into an office sort of ordeal.
Renting a room is usually an individual affair in which you hear about someone who knows someone.
I'm guessing you're looking for an apartment so try to find a rental agency and ask them if they've got any rental properties available. Sometimes they'll have lists of individually rented properties like duplexes (a home busted into 2 separate apartments) or even homes for rent by individuals. These are where the deals are at.
As for every other type of apartments you'll have to go to a bunch of places that you walk to or drive by. Go in and then ask.
Usually you'll have to have a lot of capital beforehand for First months rent and a security deposit (usually the cost of your rent) before you can get the keys and before any of that you have to pass a credit check, background check and rental history check. Certain places only take certain credit scores.
Regardless you'll have to usually pay anywhere from $60-$100 just to fill out an application for said checks that isn't refundable.
I hope this helps anon.
