It can be told out of context pretty clearly most of the time, desu. Plus, many other languages have all sorts of substativs coincident with their initial form as well, yet you don't see nouns being capitalised in them

What I wanted to say was that I believe it is retarded to give nouns special treatment just to make sure they won't be mistaken for a coincident part of speech as they can be distinguished contextually and grammatically pretty easily already

The thing is, in the case of verbal conversation the facial expression of a speaker, his tone and manner of speech, surrounding circumstances and etc. would be an equivalent of context in the writing speech. So, to go on with your metaphor, if someone said "great weather" in the middle of a snowstorm while also pulling off intentionally fake smile, it would be pretty obvious that he is being sarcastic. And, to my mind, usually it's just as obvious in the writing speech, so capitalising letters would be quite like saying that something was actually sarcastic even when everyone had understood that. But anyway, I do get the reasoning behind it nevertheless, so thanks
