But in the latest years, things started to fall apart, we're basically a country with an economy based on drugs. For example, he lowered the taxes for people who produce cocaine (they say it's only coca leaves, but honestly, around half the area dedicated for coca leaves is also dedicated to cocaine now according to some researches) to a fixed amount of 50BOB (7USD) yearly. And despite many protests, he was adamantly trying to build a road through the middle of the TIPNIS (a protected area where, who knew, recent research has found many hidden cocaine production spots).
Amongst many, many other disasters such as doubling the price of fuel for 5 days until the backlash made them cut it back, but the economy was permanently damaged after that. I could really go on for quite a while, but in the end, Evo won with a huge fraud in the elections, we've seen hundreds of proof, and most if not all of the proof reported by the OAS is verifiable. So yeah, I ended up hating him for being addicted to power, and lying about caring about the environment, and wasting public money on bullshit like a museum for himself where he literally shows the football shoes he has used.
