Yeah, that is true.
What is most important is that you are happy.
I knew people from school who were popular but didn't really hang out with people outside of school very much so it is kind of like they didn't have any RL friends but they were still very happy people and loved life.

I know your struggles in making new friends, main difference is that I’m just lazy and prefer to waste time online than go to societies and clubs that my college offers.
