If x approaches 0, then we consider looking at 2 cases:
1. x -> 0+ from the "right side" ie. x+ = 0+
in that case we get = 1/0+ = +infinity
2. x -> 0- from the "left side" ie. x- = 0-
in that case we get 1/0- = -infinty
now since lim x->0- != lim x->0+ we know that it diverges ie. no limit for x = 0
