I've decided that, to change the me IRL, I must first change the me AFRL. In order to better myself, I vow that even under the veil of anonymity I will be kind to others. Too long has anonymity been a way for me to lash out at others, to ease the pain of day to day living by the tearing down of the virtual other.
I know many anons are the same way; It is in a way quite therapeutic to speak one's mind without consequence, though not at all the most productive avenue of blowing off steam.
The reason I personally choose to do this is because, despite what meager reason and common sense I have, my mind cannot fully distinguish the Internet from real life. On the internet there is as a general rule no consequence for saying the truth; This is not the case in the real world.
Truth is rude. Truth is unabashed. Truth --especially when filtered through the rudest words of the dictionary possible-- is a blunt instrument of force. I am but a young fool who used it in the improper time and place.
This IS the Internet, I do not expect anyone to care. Still, it's good to get this off my chest. If anyone else would like to take a vow like this of your own, feel free to do so here or anywhere else you deem appropriate.
I'm just another sinful dude on the Internet, but that doesn't mean I can't care.
TL;DR: I'm taking a vow of kindness on the internet to become a better person in real life. You probably don't care, but if you do, great! Feel free to take a vow of kindness yourself. Or not.

I hope I helped you blow off steam, at least :)
