I've chosen to translate Stoßen and Reißen as Jerk and Snatch, which is what the olympic terms are, but I doubt someone new to lifting would know what they mean.

d) Excercises with the barbell (Img. 71 and 72).
During the excercise, help needs to stand on both sides of the excerciser, to prevent the barbell from falling backwards.
1. Jerk with one and both arms.
2. Snatch with one and both arms.
e) Excercises with the ball (5 and 7¼ kg).
Push the ball up left side and right, catch it with the same or the other hand. Throw right side over the left shoulder and catch with the left hand, and the other way around.
24. Excercies with the gymnastic equipment
The gymnastic equipment are used for strength excercises and obstacle courses. Gymnastic attitude is not advised!
Safety measures:
To prevent accidents, help must be given. Help is required especially in the case of jumps over gymnastic requipment as with leaving the bar. It will first be given by the teacher, later by those instructed therein. Jumping down from the equipment has to happen on mats or a deeply raked sandpit.
a) bar
1. Hold on to the bar at grip-height. The excercise can be done with underhand or overhand grip. The chin must be lifted above the bar.
2. Swing up from rest } at the head-high equipment
3. Turn left and right (Img. 73) }
4. Squat.
5. Unbalanced spreading (Img. 74)
b) Bar - waist-high until breast-high:
