Throughout various points in the 20th century the Brazilian government implemented pro-immigration initiatives from high wealth, high gdp, high trust countries in Europe and of course Japan and to some degree it worked, millions of people from Germany, Poland, Spain, Italy, Japan etc flocked there. The Japanese of Japan don't like BR Japanese even if they're 100% racially Japanese. As far as Brazilian ethnicities go, you can do much, much worse.
