Lots of childrens media has been just downright good, much of it coming from the very same creators that worked on MLP. I enjoyed it for a while, but after the nostalgia of watching something made by lauren faust wore off i quit paying attention.
In the end, MLP:FIM is just a pretty good cartoon. Hate on it all you want, doesnt change the fact that it is well directed, has high production value, great voice acting, and wonderful music composition.
