In most societies, if not all, women have no incentive to develop a sense of humor. Female comedians exist, but they're very rare. And that's because they have to strike a balance: Ugly enough that they were forced to develop a personality, but presentable enough to be put on camera. Tig Notaro is a good example, and she's fairly funny.
Same explanation as the "wage gap." Men on average make more money because they HAVE to. Especially in western society where women are the selectors. Women won't fuck us in a cardboard box. If they did, we would never get jobs.
