/pol/, last night I went out for a walk in the middle of the night, and a cab driver pulled over when he saw me. I assumed he thought I wanted a ride, so I tried to wave him on, but he rolled down his window, and called me by my fucking name.
I was stunned for a moment, a hundred thoughts racing in my head to grasp the situation. “I didn’t call a cab,” “I definitely didn’t call anyone,” “no one knows I’m out right now,” “I can see this dudes face clearly and I have no idea who he is.”
I’m now on guard, the street is dark, but it’s not a bad area. I’m unarmed, but large enough to not appear like easy prey. Looking at the man’s face, I don’t sense ill intent. I take a quick look around for possible accomplices. Not seeing any immediate threat, I decide it’s safe enough to inquire who this man is and how he knows my name.
