1. Download the 'HelloTalk' app. It's Chinese owned and you're getting spied on, but pay for the upgraded membership anyway, I'll explain why further.
2. In your HelloTalk profile, create a decent profile similar to a dating one that shows you being an all-around social good ol' American boy, doing typical American shit. DO NOT come off as a waifu or anime loving dude, this can work for some people, but usually you get laughed at in private chats by Japanese women. Don't be THAT guy.
3. Change your HelloTalk settings so your posts only appear to Japanese wanting to learn English.
4. Make your first post of you being a normal American dude, a picture with an attempt at trying to learn Japanese. You should be trying to learn anyway, just use a common phrase along with a related picture. ALWAYS post pictures with a caption of learning Japanese. Don't worry how bad you are. Best times to post is 8am Japanese time or 6pm Japanese time. I confirmed this a few times by riding on the train during these hours, the women are on HelloTalk and Line (more about this further) during their commutes.
5. If you do your posts right you will start getting 'Likes' from some of the prettiest Japanese women you've ever seen. Start adding the girls who like your posts. You have very little competition since they usually get messaged by creepin' Arabs and pajeets.
6. When you mesage a girl on HelloTalk tell her it's okay if she types in her native Japanese. The app will allow you to translate. Moreso with additional features if you buy the membership.
7. Great, now you're messaging a cutie Japanese girl. Next step is immediately ask for her Line QR code. It's a commonly used chat app in Japan. Use it to call, not text, calls are free and you should always move past texting with a girl. It's more personal and Japanese women especially love practicing their English.
8. Buy a plane ticket to Japan.
