>>9345248well if that's what he wants, then that's what he wants. If he bitched about it then that's different though.
I think the younger generations are just reacting very strongly to their judgemental, know-it-all, self-centered nature.
>LOL DID YOU HEAR THAT MILLENIALS/ZOOMERS ARE USING COMPOSTING TOILETS IN THEIR TINY HOUSES! LOL WHAT LOSERSand it's like
...these "losers" are your children.
No one(very few) live in a Tiny house and shits in a glorified sandbox because they could have afforded the 5,000 sq foot home on 20 acres, but instead decided to hunker down and pay a little more for the 500 sq foot cuckshed on a 1/4 of an acre. It's the opposite. Their complete failure to recognize the economic reality of the present is what is so enraging because they have this, again, self-centered Ayn Rand esk morality of self-interest at all costs. Everything is framed that way in their mind.
>I'm< not happy? Well I'll just get a divorce, fuck my children and family, >I'm< not happy momentarily>This person is bad for the culture/bad for the country, but >I< can be personally benefitted? Well I'll just vote (D) then. Their short sighted, spoiled, hungry-hungry-hippo life style, made it so that their own children are abandoned by two working parents in apathetic state institutions to be indoctrinated since pre-kindergarten,
and they wonder why things are fucked up now.
Now granted, I try to temper myself and realize just how utterly controlled the narrative was when boomers were growing up, how there were no alternative sources of information, how they didn't have constant political news like we have now, how most of them simply never even paid attention, wasn't expected to, and really had no direct hand in shaping the culture the way that happened.
But still, it was "during their watch" that things all went to shit. So that's another source of animosity between the generations.
