Taking chess seriously sounds dumb at first, but once you get into it, you REALLY get into it. It's the perfect hobby, and if you're looking for something more than a small hobby, there are chess federations, clubs, and tournaments in every corner of the world. You'll meet your best friends, have amazing experiences at club and tournaments, and if you like it enough and get good enough you might even consider going on vacation and playing in a national tournament, which are so much fun. Chess has changed my life for the better
