I have read that green eyes originated from Sumeria, and that everyone who has them, or has ancestors, family members has had a Sumerian (later Persian forbear).

You will find that Iran is the country with the most green eyed people, followed by Palestina Afghanistan, and other countries that where part of ancient Sumeria (later Persia).

Only 2% of the world population has them, and that makes them the rarest eye colour.
