My boyfriend's family is very catholic and they almost kicked him out when he shaved his legs for me three years ago, we've been together for four years and that was the only incident closely related to him being "oppressed" for his sexuality, the rest of the time he's just a normal guy like me and any other dude out there. I repeat, gay people in oppressive countries can and should keep their business private, no culture should be obligated to acquiesce to an acceptive stance towards homosexuality, and being gay doesn't mean you have to wave a fucking flag and announce to everyone that you like penis, it's a private matter and should remain so.
