honestly i think a lot of people's end goal of politics is just "i want to put on jack boots and have a power trip" and don't actually consider long term goals or anything. that's not really a cohesive political stance and it's why we get some people who legitimately think "trump isn't declaring the fourth reich fast enough, it's time to jump ship and vote tulsi/little/whoever the fuck"
