Can someone help me make a workout routine?

I want to improve myself and am not sure where to start. I have access to a gym.

My stats:

210 lbs
Sedentary lifestyle

I mainly want to lose weight. And with little money I won't eat much. I've started using an elliptical for the past 3 days. Do I workout daily?
