do you know if koreans have some sort of tradition of having the same name as someone meaning you're closer, like they do with age?
in bulgaria we have something similar. if someone has the same name as you, they're called "adash" (comes from turkish), it means something similar to "namesake" but not quite. and we don't adhere to it as strongly as koreans do with the age thing. if you're name is ivan and another guy's name is ivan, you don't say "hey ivan", you say "hey adash", and that's the extent of it.
