Expert here. You will need several tiers of supplies.>Medical CAT tourniquets, 2 chest seals with vent, oral and naso airways, gauze (lots), quik clot, sutures, steriglue, basic wound treatment and cleaning, CPR bag, trauma shears, SAM splint. This is a good start and you'll be able to handle 90% of trauma with interventional care.>Weapons Handgun in 9mm with spare mags and 1000+ rounds, shotgun for breaching with 250+ 00, AR with 12+ mags 2,000 rounds. 5" fixed blade (non-serrated!!!), small blade for skinning/field craft. Multi tool. Level 3+ armor with PC.>Water Several week's fresh water storage in case you need to stay in some days and avoid visibility. Lifestraw. Grav filter. Lifestraw is good for a go-bag and procurring individual clean drinking water, but not larger quantities. That's what you need a grav filter for. Both will take nasty water and make it clean and drinkable. They filter 99.9997% of contaminents out.>Food 2 months of freeze dried food with canned meats. Opt for SPAM, canned corned beef, etc vs canned tuna/salmon as it is higher calorie content and cheaper>Other basic supplies Lights/headlamp with spare batteries, pens, cold weather gear, 20 degree sleeping bag, r4 sleeping pad, solo tent/bivy, gloves, chapstick (undervalued), lighters (fuck a flint - just buy several bic lighters). Also, get an MSR cooking kit with spare fuel tank.>Gear setup In a go bag, you want 72hr gear. Things to get you INTO some shit, and get others OUT of some shit. Your medkit, firestarter, spare mags/ammo, lifestraw, lights, hothands and basic cold weather gear, small amount of food, both knives and firestarter. The idea of a 72hr bag is you carry it with you every day and it gives you mobility to move overland if you have to gtfo.>Long term gear A solid framed bag capable of carrying a 40-80lb load. Pre-load tent, sleeping bag, sleeping bag, cooking kit, addl cold weather/rain gear, spare mags and several days food. Transfer go-bag equipment and roll out.

Now for your most important tool. It's what's between your ears. You need to be a skilled outdoorsman, shooter, and hunter. You DO NOT want to be going into chaos learning essential skills in life-death situations. You need to know how to shoot and move - you cannot learn this shooting on a flat range. You need to understand basic bounding, suppresive fire/continuity of fire tactis, and infrantry tactics. Pick up a field manual and study and practice. You need to be able to engage multiple targets at multiple ranges on the move. You need to be comfortable conducting land nav without GPS in the wilderness. You must be comfortable in the woods solo. Real woods, not your local 300 acre park. You must be a good hunter. Know about scent, wind direction, sun direction, movement, animal signs and trails, be able to identify bedding and feeding areas and bottlenecks on their path. You need to be able to build makeshit structures and shelters and survive with limited supplies. This will be your greatest advantage. This and some ingenuity will get you through when your equipment is inevitably lost/broken/malfunctions. Now get to work.

>>9493893 My advice is to get a tablet and a portable folding solar charger that works for it. Now what tablet? That is up to you, be it a $1000 model or a $35 Amazon fire that you hacked on the google store for the program "ES File Explorer" or similar. I suggest one with a micro SD card slot for a 128-256gb card.
Now why the tablet? Simple. You can download 128-256gb of Offline games, Books and guides, Videos, Music and Personal documentation. Keep a second copy on your smart phone if you have a micro SD card slot on there as well. Carry a micro SD to USB adapter.

As for my firearms you have to consider uses and weight. IN my go bag in my trunk of the car is:>Henry .22lr survival rifle 2 mags (You could get a Ruger break down if desired not judging). >Taurus G2C 9mm with 2 mags ($200, sits in a bag and works) Again, this is inside the bag. .22lr barely takes up room and weight for 200 rounds. 100 normal, 100 subsonic. 9mm I have 100 rounds which is tad heavier. I do have a shotgun and AR but that goes with a little more planning time and if I can toss on the vest carrier.

I agree, I just think the best preparation involves organizing a support network beforehand. /pol/ focuses a lot on gear, and not really at all on organizing. gear is important but mutuality is key, it's why humans form societies in the first place.
as far as gear goes, research antibiotics (some are good for open wound infections, others are for internal infections, etc.) and you can buy them in bulk online from WHO approved facilities. I have doxycycline (works for the plague, among other things), cephalexin, and a ton of amoxycilin. FDA allows import of Rx drugs for personal use, btw.
potassium iodide (in case nuclear fallout). wool undergarments, wool socks, cold weather boots, wool hat, wool gloves (and a waterproof outer pair)
and personally I prefer tuna/salmon. it's wild, keeps you in better health and better mental state. spam and factory meat turns you into a vegetable (it's also immoral). you are what you eat.

For maps and GPS, I recommend the Garmin etrex 20x. Its a small and reasonably priced GPS unit. >>9494008 UK has 59.922 million acres , USA has 2.43 billion acres . 2.43 billion / 59.92 million = 40.567
40.567 x 6 acres = 243. 4
Thus 6 bong acres is 243.4 freedom acres

why are you guys prepping like you are going to be on the move? isn't it far better to stock up on everything, make sure your home is as close to a fort as it can be and just stay put? I have a wife and a small kid and staying put, stocked up and patient is the best way to go about it. This shit isn't a zombie outbreak ffs.

And we all know about the wildfires. You have to be prepared to move, even if you have a second location to bunker down.
