hey guys ,I feel so crushed on a classmate recently, she is a Muslim girl and very pious.. but i have been an aheist for a long time ..she said that she can't go out with me unless I convert to Islam

is that just a cover up to reject me or some Muslim girls really have this kinda of rules..i never try to date a Muslim girl before wtf should I do now?

is there has any chance that I can temporary join in a religion and quit when my relationship been cllopsed? i mean,if I am Really believe in there is no god then I do such of this things will be fine and sensible right?
