Got my first promotion in the army and we took our soldier oaths, holy shit what a horrible day it has been.

Just several hours of standing still in the cold while it snows. Not allowed to move at all unless we have the order to. Those moves are things like taking off our hat which we are allowed like 2 seconds to do. Of course that is enough time for taking off the hat, but it can mess up your position with your gun and such and you are not allowed to fix that until we are given permission which can take like 1 hour. And because we do not move the blood does not flow so people always pass out in oath ceremony. I was in the middle so I was able to move my feet a little. Luckily I am now on weekend holiday and get to rest.
