>>9557819It's not totally proven yet, but it's within the realm of possibility that non-Chinese or non-Asian people are less affected by the virus. Personally I think Chinese people just have shitty lungs from smog and pollution and heavy smoking habits of shit quality cigarettes and combined with their poor hygiene are not able to handle a tough flu and the afteraffects as well as others will be able to.
That's not the real problem though.
The odds of death of any single individual dying from this virus are astronomically low even if it ends up going full pandemic and killing 100 million people globally in the next year.
The real problem is that the masses will panic and the economy will go to shit.
* Many parts, chemicals, and products are made in China. What happens if their country can't manufacture for even 6 months? Say goodbye to 2/3 of the shit in stores at least.
* What happens when the media reports coronavirus in your hometown and many people rush to stores and buy every bit of food on the shelves in a blind panic?
* What happens to the people who are on a budget and didn't plan for any emergency stash of food and start chimping out because they can't find food? Poor people can't handle even a few dollars price increase of their groceries.
* What happens when there are few medical supplies available because the item or chemical its made from is mostly made in China?
* What happens to US businesses when they can't find parts that are made in China? What manufacturing that exists in the US also depends heavily on Chinese manufacturing. Supply lines will have to be rebuilt and that could take awhile.
* How many useless businesses will die off from these affects and how many people will cease having incomes for a while?
The economic affects seem to be the real problems.
