It's like the term "white", originally used by the Spaniards to differentiate themselves of shipping manifests (and other documents) during their time in the Americas, to differentiate between "white" (blanco) 'colonizer' / the colonized / and slaves. Then north-west Europeans took the term "white" only in reference to themselves, like the founding fathers of America with no intentions of using the term in reference to any other Europeans.
And now everyone refers to themselves as 'human", we all "human", let's be in this together as "humans". It's a complete perversion.
