Berlin - Historians at the Freie Universität Berlin have uncovered a secret recording in the Reichstag from 1939 that appears to show Adolf Hitler sending an emotional message to UK Prime Minister Winston Churchill on the eve of the Second World War.
Historian Franz Weidel states: "This tape provides a completely new insight into the origins of the Second World War and gives a completely different understanding behind the origins of the conflict."
