>>9595386>There is no "muh one race da hooman race".the way we use race in society it is a cultural-social concept.
If you want to divide humankind into races objectively you should base it on genetics. I found this wikipedia article an interesting read on this.
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Race_and_geneticsThere are genetics differences and some of them can be connected with geographical origins.
However, there are several things stopping us from using this to define races.
1: The total differences are too small to qualify sub-species of humans according to scientific methods. 2: While there are markers to connect people with a geographical background, these markers are not enough to make a dividing line. Other markers would make the dividing lines different from those that are used in society. 3: The individual differences are significantly more important then population differences. If you take a random sample from say white Dutchman and a sample from Ethiopians. It is very well possible that a Dutchman/Ethiopian pair had more in common then when you pair that same Ethiopian with another Ethiopian. Of course the marker for skin color would confirm the current racial divide but that is one from 1000's.
So can you trace somebodies geographical ancestry using certain genetic markers; Yes. Are these a proper base to divide people among the racial lines we see in society; no.
The racial divide we use in society is completely an social-cultural divide.
