Anyway, from my own experience, I'm not sure if any job would not get painful for a depressed person. A busy job with a lot of thinking and short deadlines can keep you occupied but that's not something that could cure depression of course

Not anymore. There is a big push for female firefighters and they get fast-tracked into command positions because they are useless in the field. They destroyed the atmosphere and of course they are terrible in command positions as well.

Not that difficult so you can zone out and gets you outside doing physical work. The results are tangible as well so if you do a decent job you feel good about it.

Yes, I understand that one too. There are 2 basic types of depression tho. "Environmental" and "clinical". I had the clinical brain disorder type and required medical help. I was able to find a good job after I got more functional.

i'm probably the environmental type. "smiling depression", can fake being normal when i need to. if i had a better living arrangement, a better relationship, and a job that didn't crush my soul i probably wouldn't be depressed.

This. Just get some physical job. it will be tough at first, but once you get moving and when you get bigger it will make your mind more at peace
Exercise helps much with mood and it is a lot easier to do it when they pay you for it
