Consumerism is a disease. Its purpose seems to be one of distraction. People nowadays live for the next dose of temporary relief and nothing else. Even sex became a product. It's disgusting, considering that its original purpose was to create life, which is something beautiful.
>I had earlier come to a conclusion that 95% of people in any country and in any historical period have essentially the same primitive mindset with only level of savageness being different due to different levels of economic prosperity, I stopped caring about it as I already didn't really care about society in general.
Very well said. The masses were always this mindless, they simply had no voice prior to the creation of the internet. And it might have been better if things remained that way.
A part of me still wishes to take part in society. I would like to have a family of my own one day, but the way things are going these days it seems impossible. People know no boundaries and are slaves to their impulses. A (good) marriage is not something you get into for fun only, it requires a lot of responsibility. It has become very hard to trust anyone when it comes to something that intimate. Also, while I have no issues in the looks department, I can't communicate irl. Even here. You probably have noticed that my speech pattern is weird.
