there's a franchise of fish & chip joints here in california called H. Salt that's fairly popular.

We do, just not as often as you since large parts of our contry are landlocked and have little way to procure the fish needed for the dish. Anything you can find in the UK, you can find in the US in some capacity; even London Bridge!
