Metric is easy to convert unit in.
You never actually do this though.
If you need miles to measure something, why would you ever need to know how many inches that is? If a size of measurement is not appropriate to measure something, then use the one that works better.
And Fahrenheit is simple, when it's 0 degrees outside; it's fucking cold. When it's 100 degrees outside; it's fucking hot. Nobody in practice needs to know the temperature water boils of freezes.

Sometimes you need to use different measurements and then combine them though? For example when you buy new furniture you need cm and m. It's just way easier to then know immediately how much exactly those two are in relation to one another.
