I don't get crazy over video game stories because they're vehicles for the gameplay (and if they aren't they did it wrong) but when a game is going to be packed with cutscenes the story should be good.
You're going to be sitting through hours of cutscenes where hacks from modern Squeenix try to come up with bullshit to fill in the plot holes of the original story. It's sort of unsalvageable, which has been proven by the pile of spinoff games and content that have tried to fix the story in the past.
So what you're getting is a product that focuses on the worst part of the game and exaggerates it. And it's going to be made by the people that gave you trash like FF13 and 15.
