every fucking day I go to work. My work is known by few but effects all. I have all the world's data at my fingertips yet I am no one.

I knew what I was getting into. I had given up the chance at fame, glory, reward... for a life of ultimate knowledge. The entry application had similar words inscribed on the front.

My duty is not for those who seek personal reward but rather to sacrifice themselves to preserve civilization as we know it.
