As far as religion goes, American Hispanics are rapidly adopting (Evangelical) Protestantism, just as they are in Mexico. Finally, if you look at interracial marriages in America, the largest category by far is that of Whites and Hispanics. Essentially, on both sides of the border, you're seeing the American Hispanic population in general, and Mexicans in particular, adopting what is basically a WASP identity.
