I kinda border on agnostic because I really don't have a full spiritual connection with God, though the God I accept is the Christian God. The satanic message doesn't offend me, scare me, or make me feel uneasy at all. I listened to a lot of black metal in my teens and played in a band that had songs about raping Jesus and shit. I guess that's why I don't like the satanic thing that much, it seems juvenile and like it's only done for the "oh god look how scary and cool they are, such badasses" image. Instead it's kinda cringy.
I did say that I do enjoy their music though. They're one of the few current metal bands that isn't repetitive over-produced garbage where every song sounds the same and the song structure never deviates from the verse-chorus-verse-chorus-breakdown-chorus format
with all power-chords and no solos, ever. I'm glad they've achieved some mainstream success because maybe it will influence some of these current Shinedown wannabe bands to be more creative.
