>>9794623it is when
1. it's not temporary in most of the proposals put forward
2. it's aimed at low-income americans, which is a wealth redistribution
"stimulus" is cutting the interest rates to encourage loans to help loosen up money in a stagnant economy. "bailout" is giving money to a critical industry to stay afloat so it doesn't tank the rest of the country when it fails. literally just giving out money to people is retardation that even the soviet union would have laughed at. there's such bad economics with that that i don't even know where to start, you'd just destroy prices, devalue currency, etc. you'd be taking money away from taxpayers you aren't paying out to or not as much, which for the most part will be the middle class, not the billionaires, since none of the proposed programs are tax breaks/refunds but nominal checks being handed out with no concurrent drop in spending
that's not even getting to the fact that you're predominantly going to be supplying minorities with this "stimulus"
>>9794625i probably qualify, it depends on which proposal they do, but regardless it's a bad idea. even the commonly reported $1000-2000 is pennies, everyone must be poor as fuck
>>9794626if nothing is done to reboot the economy soon it's going to be a significantly lasting recession, we've topped 2008 and are actually reaching 1929 levels. there's a lot of stupidity everywhere but i mentioned earlier today that the only people who come out of this in a better position will be china, because our economy might be so fucked we can't maintain a trade war anymore and trump will have to juggle the aftermath with the election
if there is any clandestine shit going on and this isn't all just one horrible series of unfortunate events, then all signs point to chinese involvement (and i mean conscious, not accidental)
the most disgusting thing to me right now is the number of people falling for the "quick, don't think, just start doing socialism before it's too late!"
