My dad made me good with money and thats pretty much all he taught me. He also liked to joke too much at my expense almost shaming me to a point if I ever expressed attraction to a woman. He would frequently barge into my locked room to catch me masturbating so he could laugh at me. So yea I am old and very fucked up now

I love my dad so much , he’s the best man I know. He’s the best man I’ve ever met. I’m in my thirties and have a wife and kids of my own and he’s also a wonderful father in law and the best grandpa.

He was as a kid, as an adult all he wanted was the best for me but he needed to tone it down a notch how he was fucking with me during my formulative years. I basically rejected everything he tried to push his mid life crisis onto me and then he kinda gave up raising me and teaching me anything.

My father is obsessed with media culture and watches sports or CSNBC nearly constantly. At a certain point, I can only be upset at the powers at be that lead him astray. The same goes for my mother. I'm not out to shovel redpills down their throats, but I have started by encouraging them towards consumer decisions that disfavor the feverent mass production they are dependent on.

i had hippie parents who refused to discipline me. as a result my brother and i were the kids every parent hated. we played in punk bands and did lots of drugs. my brother od'd from opiates. i went to jail for aggravated assault and had other charges. was a man whore and treated chicas like shit. met the most wonderful woman who was beautiful plus trad. we had 3 kids - 1st one when i was 19. i did a complete 180 in my life and made sure i did the complete opposite of my parents. my children are wonderful and help others. my oldest son is a 100% chad [other 2 sons balls havent dropped yet] and takes up for those that are being bullied, helps old ladies cross the street, cowboys up no matter what, etc... parents have a tremendous outcome on their childrens lives but you also have the opportunity to improve yourself no matter what your upbringing was.

You know my dad is your typical "Village guy" here and when I went to university I had some kind of retarded scorn for him, but as I grew up I realized how much he taught me that is much more valuable than anything the city homos could ever do. The guy is a one man army, seriously. He can out drink anyone, he has taught himself a massive variety of skills from car mechanic work, house upkeep, etc. I mean we have never hired anyone to do anything for us, he has done all plumbing, electrical work, etc. He's always been a solid role model in my life too, I can't say I had a bad childhood at all. I can't imagine how people with single moms manage to get out in one piece. I love my mom but thinking of growing up without my dad is just insane

My dad never taught me a ton, unfortunately. He was around though, he never had a great job but he did work his way up from parking enforcement with our local municipality to being a foreman, and he did it through hard work and dedication and taking advantage of opportunities as they arose. He also coached hockey for me and my brother, we spent a lot of time on the ice together. Aside from that though, he wasn't a very hands on parent, he kind of let us do what we wanted and mom was "in charge" of the family in most ways, because she didn't work and managed the household. My dad almost got it right, and me and my brother are pretty decent people, though my brother is a bit of leftist, he's not one of the loony ones. Anyway, thanks for raising me, dad, you did a pretty good job and I don't really have anything bad to hold against you.
